Saturday Afternoon DataHack

Hi all,

We’re delighted to announce a Saturday Afternoon DataHack for Saturday 2nd Feb from 13:00 - 16:30. We will be located in the Green Room on the 1st floor of Dragon Hall in Covent Garden / Holborn (https://www.dragonhall.org.uk/).

As always, this will be an attendee-driven afternoon of hands-on coding on any data science topic you’re interested in. Possible ideas of topics to work on:
• Discuss the latest videos from fast.ai
• Make a start on the latest Kaggle or crowd.ai competitions
• Have a deep dive into any libraries you've come across

The structure of the afternoon will be as follows:
• 13:00 – Arrive, chat and mingle
• 13:15 - 13:30 – Discuss topics to be worked on
• 13:30 – Form teams and work on selected topics
• 16:30 – Lightning talks for anyone who’s interested
• 17:00 – Drinks at a nearby pub

All levels are welcome, from Data Science newbies to experienced Pythonista / tidyveRsers.

Remember to bring your laptop, ideally with an extension cable (and having a working R or Python installation ready to go is a good start!). Also note there won't be pizza or coffee available on site, so please get yourself fed and caffeined-up before you arrive.
