London DevOps #73 - Microsoft Reactor
Details
After a fantastic meetup at Microsoft Reactor earlier in the year, we return there for another one. If you missed the last one, here's another chance! Please note that refreshments will be available but these will not be alcoholic.
6:00pm - Arrival
6:45pm - Introductions - Matt Saunders
7:00pm - Talks
Digger: An Open Source alternative to Terraform Cloud - Igor Zalutski (Digger)
IaC should be treated like any other code that goes through your CI/CD pipeline. It should be version-controlled, tested, and deployed using the same tools and processes that you use for product code. One of the main reasons why IaC has been treated differently is that it requires a different set of tools and processes. For example, tools like Terraform and CloudFormation are used to define infrastructure, and separate, IaC only CI/CD systems like Env0 and Spacelift are used to manage IaC deployments. We strongly feel that existing CI infrastructure can be reused for IaC, and that is what we will speak about.
Zero Trust Security for Secure Multi-Cloud Deployment - Anthony Ekpechue (Globallogic)
In this talk, Anthony will cover a wide range of topics touching on best practices for designing Zero Trust Solutions in a cloud-agnostic network.
From this talk, you will understand and learn how to conceptualize and deliver a Zero Trust solution authenticating and authorizing everything from applications, workloads, infrastructure, and everything else in between (practically trusting nothing).
Anthony will explain how Globallogic have successfully deployed Zero Trust Solution across serverless workloads in a multi-tenant deployment for a client. He will also share his experience and learnings acquired during one of such projects.
9:00pm - Local Pub for Networking
