Up in the Heavens to down to Earth! Let's visit: The Sky Garden & Old Hallows!!!

This is another two for one Meetup event which starts from up in the Heavens then back down to Earth (not with a bump - I hope) 😉

To start: We will go the the Sky Garden which is the UK's highest garden with stunning views of the city and is inside the "Walkie-Talkie" - I have made a special group reservation for us at 2 pm - you will need to bring ID along, and I will have to provide a guest list at least a week in advance** and there is airport style security.

The garden and the views are a delight, and you can have Coffee & Cake or partake in a glass of your favourite tipple too!!!

We'll then visit: All Hallows by the Tower which is the oldest church in the City of London and was founded by the Abbey of Barking in 675AD, 300 years before the Tower of London. An arch from the Saxon church can still be seen today.
In 1666 the Great Fire of London started in Pudding Lane, a few hundred yards from the church. All Hallows survived through the efforts of Admiral Penn (William Penn's father) who, along with his friend Samuel Pepys, watched London burn from the tower of the church. William Penn, founder of Pennsylvania, was baptised in the church and educated in the old schoolroom.
In the crypt beneath is a second century Roman pavement, discovered in 1926, evidence of city life on this site for nearly two thousand years.
Located next to the Tower of London, the church has cared for numerous beheaded bodies brought for temporary burial following their executions on Tower Hill, including those of Thomas More, Bishop John Fisher and Archbishop Laud.
Fascinating place, it's like a mini museum in there...

After this we'll go for an Eat's 'n' Drinks 'Spoons' Social (optional) at the nearby Liberty Bell.

The Meetup fee for this event is £3.00 – which on this occasion is payable in advance.** (see above) Also, because there's less likelihood of No Shows and Late Cancellations. So, in the first instance RSVP as normal, I will send a link for payment, your slot is only guaranteed upon payment. However, you can pay me by cash at a prior Meetup event.
