FAQ
What is the charity?
MediCinema which builds cinemas and shows films in hospitals so that patients who could not otherwise go to the cinema because they're bed-ridden, connected to life-saving equipment etc can still see films. You can find out more about all the wonderful work MediCinema does here.

Where does the money go?
100% of the ticket price goes to MediCinema.

Do I have to attend the London D&D Meetup the afternoon of 25 March and play D&D to see the preview screening?
No. The London D&D Meetup the afternoon of 25 March is a separate event. You can see the film, play D&D earlier or just one or the other. Note, however, that we will be leaving from the venue of the Meetup that afternoon. So if you just want to see the film, please rendezvous with us at the pub by 6.00pm on the day.

How will we get to the cinema from the pub?
We will be going by Underground from the pub in Borough to the cinema in Leicester Square. Please have a ticket, Oyster card, payment card/app to make the journey. If you cannot travel by Underground, please PM Zander, the event's Organiser, ASAP.

Can family and friends join me?
Yes. You can add up to 5 family members, i.e. up to 5 'plus ones', in step 2 (above) though we prefer if adults register for themselves. At step 3, you should purchase the required number of tickets.
If you are attending with young people aged 12 to 17 inclusive, they should NOT become London D&D Meetup members (which is only open to those aged 18+) and can only attend as 'plus ones' of an adult. Note the film has an age classification of 12; children under 12 cannot join us.

I use a wheelchair. Can I see the preview screening for charity?
Yes. Screen 6 at the Vue West End has wheelchair spaces. The cinema has lifts to the screens and adapted lavatories. Please note that we will be travelling from the pub to the cinema by Underground (please see 'How will we get to the cinema from the pub?' in this FAQ).

I am visually impaired and require audio description. Can I attend the preview screening for charity?
Yes. Screen 6 at the Vue West End has audio description on headphones. Note that guide dogs are welcome at Vue cinemas.

Can I bring my dog or other pets?
No. Guide dogs are fine but other animals are not. Apart from guide dogs, the only permitted creatures are humans and orcs.

I can't make it to that cinema. Can I still see the preview screening for charity at another cinema?
Yes. Please follow steps 1 and 3 (above) but skip step 2. When you book your ticket(s) at step 3, select a different cinema. There are screenings for MediCinema across London and the UK.

Who should I contact for more information?
PM Zander, this event's Organiser.
