In my recent research of the London cabaret scene, I met these two gentleman and we immediately clicked. Of course they do political cabaret. Funny, original and charming they managed to get my email so now I am on their mailing list and I received an invitation to go and see them at The Pheasantry in Chelsea.
Aside from the obvious, what I found particularly charming was their focus on European politics, like in their version of Summer Nights.
They are Bounder & Cad – the raffish cabaret duo that David Cameron tried to censor. Classically trained as choral scholars at Cambridge, they formed their unholy alliance to wing their way into college balls as a Rat Pack act. They started performing original parodies- which have since featured in international media and at the 10 Downing St Christmas party (despite being vetoed by the PM). Why? Here is another one of their songs so you can judge for yourself.
Come and join me to hear their funny songs from Porter, Disney, and Legrand, some Italian favourites – and some originals written specially for this show. Tickets cost £15 and to purchase yours please click here (https://www.pizzaexpresslive.com/whats-on/bounder-cad-pizzas-and-pizzazz). Only RSVP once you have purchased a ticket.
The London European Club is run by volunteers who are selflessly sharing their knowledge and love of knowledge with you. Please respect their time and RSVP accurately.
