The River Chess & Latimer – Medium & Short Country Hike

Walk length 11miles/18km approx or 5.5miles/9km approx. Circular.
This hike starts off from Chalfont & Latimer and takes us across to the beautiful valley of the river Chess and the picturesque little village of Latimer before returning back across woodland and hills with panoramic views past Chesham,
We will have lunch at Chesham which has coffee shops and facilities and also access to Chesham tube station and further links to chiltern railways. This would make the hike 5.5miles approx if you decide to end the hike at this point.
THIS IS AN UNDULATING HIKE WITH HILLY AND FLAT SECTIONS.
Lunch & Finish
Please bring a snack lunch and water for the walk. The hike should finish before 4.30pm (depending on weather and pace) and include a 30 min snack lunch stop.
Meeting: Meet for the hike to start at 11.00am outside the entrance to Chalfont and Latimer Station (main car park side). Chalfornt and Latimer is served by both the underground (Metropolitan) and national rail.
Car: Station car parking is £3 on a Sunday, but some nearby roads may be free. Please allow enough time to park and check for any parking restrictions.

Train: £19 or less with a travelcard or groupsave for mainline or you can do the underground.
