Walk length 6miles/10km approx. Linear.
A chance to explore a section of the Wandle Trail from South Wimbledon to Carshalton. The Wandle trail is a walking route following the river Wandle from Wandsworth to Croydon. It was heavily industrialised but is now largely a nature trail with a number of nature reserves as well as some more urban sections. Along the trail is the historic Abbey Mills.
We can at the end visit a pub at Carshalton 'The Hope' which has a great selection of real ale and craft beers it also has a beer festival on this day (www.hopecarshalton.co.uk)
Carshalton has various transport routes back into central London.
Meeting and Transport
Meet outside South Wimbledon tube station from 6.15pm the walk to start at 6.30pm.
