Details

Walk length 14miles (23km) or 10miles (16km) approx. Circular.

A scenic hike exploring fields and woodland to the north of High Wycombe up to the village of Little Missenden with it medieval church and wall paintings. The church usually does cream teas from about 1pm so we can enjoy some with our lunch or you can visit the pub in the village.

On the return leg we also pass Hughenden Manor.

The walk passes a number of woodlands such as King's Wood and Penn Wood amongst others.

There is a chance to do half the hike (10 miles) however if taking the train you would need to get the train back from Great Missenden which is on a different line. Also a small section of this route would have to be self guided.

Lunch & Finish

Please bring snacks and water for the walk. The walk should finish before 6pm and includes a pack lunch stop, however the time may be earlier than this depending on the weather and pace.

We will go for optional drinks at the end of the walk at High Wycombe, the pub is close to the station.
