Art Walking Tour & Sketching at Wallace Collection for Daydreamers & Swifties!

Details

Nb: None Daydreamers (Adele fans) & Swifties (Taylor Swift fans) also welcome!

We will be sketching (one of my favourite activities in the world) but first I will be offering a walking tour to help you get inspired.

Join us to discover the Wallace Collection through the lens of French female artists Elizabeth Vigee Le Brun and Rosa Bonheur.

Elizabeth Vigee Le Brun, known for her charm and glamour, was the personal portraitist of Marie Antoinette, akin to the Taylor Swift of 18th-century French art. Her fame extended across Europe.

Rosa Bonheur, a 19th-century painter famed for her animal portraits, defied norms by wearing trousers when it was illegal for women. Known for her candidness, she was like the Adele of the Paris art scene.

Both artists' masterpieces grace the incredible Wallace Collection.
I'll draw parallels between these art stars and modern pop icons, making history come alive—a truly unforgettable experience.

You'll also marvel at paintings by Rembrandt, Rubens, Velasquez, and Anthony van Dyck among others. The Wallace Collection is a treasure trove of world-class art.

Ill also provide guidance for sketching.

In just a couple of hours, you'll have the chance to meet new friends, explore your artistic talents, and engage in fun drawing activities. Our supportive environment ensures that everyone, regardless of age or experience, can enjoy a fantastic time while honing their drawing skills.
Just bring your own sketchbook and pencils, let your imagination run wild as you create your masterpiece.

We will have some basic graphite sticks and sketchbooks for sale but please feel free to bring your own art materials.
