Kickoff Drinks: A Football Analytics Meetup (Social Intro Afternoon)

### Welcome to London’s Football Analytics Community!

This is the first ever meetup for a new group bringing together people in London who are interested in football analytics – from casual fans and data beginners to seasoned analysts.

Whether you're into xG models, tracking data, scripting in Python or R, or just love chatting tactics with a numbers twist – come along for a relaxed afternoon, meet like-minded people, and help shape what this group becomes.

### What to Expect:

• A laid-back, informal meetup – no speakers or slides
• Name tags to break the ice (add your name, club you support, and favourite stat)
• A few fun conversation prompts on tables
• A chance to share ideas for future events (workshops, talks, watchalongs, etc.)
• Optional mini quiz or stat-based game – purely for fun

### Venue:

We’ll be in the bar area at BrewDog Tower Hill, which has plenty of space and great drinks. Feel free to grab a beer, soft drink, or bite to eat.
