What we’re about
Hi, I’m Mohammad. I’ve just moved to London for my PhD in Addiction, and I’d love to meet people who can relate. Living with OCD, depression, and anxiety, I sometimes find it really difficult to connect with people and build friendships. These challenges can often lead to feelings of loneliness and isolation — and I realised I’m probably not the only one who feels this way.
This group is for anyone who finds it hard to make friends, who struggles with anxiety in social situations, or who sometimes feels alone. Mental health challenges can make it even harder to reach out to others, which is why this group exists: to create a safe and welcoming space where we can connect without judgement.
Here, we can support each other in simple ways — by meeting up, sharing activities, and spending time together. Whether it’s grabbing a coffee, going for a walk, playing games, or just sitting and talking, the goal is to have a place where we can relax, enjoy ourselves, and feel that we belong.
Everyone is welcome, no matter your background, beliefs, religion, gender, age, or culture. What matters is kindness, openness, and the willingness to share this journey together.
This group is about finding connection, enjoying safe and positive experiences, and making life feel a little less heavy by being part of a community that understands.
The way we’ll run things is simple: we’ll decide together what activities we want to do, and everyone is welcome to suggest ideas, hobbies, or anything they’d like to share with the group. For example, if you enjoy board games, exploring cafés, drawing, walking in the park, or anything else that makes you happy — feel free to suggest it. The group was founded on 22 September 2025, and our first activity will be on 11 October — giving us some time to gather, connect, and start planning together.
