London Futurists in the Pub: AGI by 2030?

"London Futurists in the Pub" is a chance for informal discussion on futurist topics in a relaxed location.

This event will be hosted by Tony Czarnecki and Rusty Burridge, in a room in the pub "The London and South Western" which is within a 100 metre walk from Clapham Junction station.

The gathering will take place on Wednesday 29th March and will start at 5:30pm. (*)

The overall theme on this occasion is "Will AGI arrive by 2030?"

Attendees will be welcome to share their views on that topic and/or related interests.

We ask that people planning to attend will RSVP 'Yes' by noon the previous day, Tuesday 28th March, since we need to confirm details with the management of the pub.

After people RSVP, they'll also be invited to join a WhatsApp group dedicated to coordinating "London Futurists in the Pub" gatherings.

To be clear, this is a real-world event, which will not be live-streamed or recorded.

There's no charge to attend, but the pub management will expect you to purchase drinks and/or food from time to time!

(*) The Meetup software seems to have picked up a new bug: the start time for this event is mistakenly displayed in some screens as 10:30pm, but it's actually starting at 5:30pm.
