London Futurists in the Pub: 29 Apr 2023

Details
"London Futurists in the Pub" is a chance for informal discussion on futurist topics in a relaxed location.
This gathering will take place in the Marlborough Arms, 36 Torrington Place, Bloomsbury, Central London, WC1E 7LY. This is a short walk from the following tube stations: Goodge Street, Tottenham Court Road, Euston Square, Euston, etc.
Discussion will be open-ended, but is likely to follow up some themes from the presentation event earlier that afternoon in Birkbeck College, "The case for Singularity Activism".
Members and friends of London Futurists are welcome to attend either or both of these gatherings. However, to assist planning, please RSVP Yes if you plan to attend, and then update your RSVP in case your plans change.
Depending on the number of people who register in advance, we may have a formal agreement with the pub that a certain portion of it is available for our use. Otherwise, we'll just co-exist with the other members of the public.
To find us, look out for a table showing the book "The Singularity Principles". (Those of us coming from the event at Birkbeck might not arrive until around 4:30pm, so circle around more than once in case you can't see anyone.)
After people RSVP, they'll also be invited to join a WhatsApp group dedicated to coordinating "London Futurists in the Pub" gatherings.
To be clear, this is a real-world event, which will not be live-streamed or recorded.
There's no formal end time. People are welcome to stay for as long (or as short) a time as makes sense for them.
There's no charge to attend, but the pub management will expect you to purchase drinks and/or food from time to time!
