🥾Hiking Girlies: Arundel to Amberley Circular (South Downs)

Hey girls Excited for our next walk! It’s going to be so fun. This will be our longest one so far and such a good day out

Arundel to Amberley Circular (South Downs)
Meet: 10:30 at Arundel Station

It’s an early start because it’s a longer route!

Distance: ~19.5km
Time: approx 5 to 6 hours
Elevation: 553m

This is a really beautiful South Downs walk with big views, rolling hills, woodland sections and river paths. Expect a proper leg stretch with a few rewarding climbs.

This is all about making friends, having great conversations, and enjoying the outdoors together ✨

Food & water
Make sure you’ve got lunch, snacks and plenty of water to have throughout the day. We might not have an official lunch stop. Usually girls just end up eating as we walk, and we naturally slow the pace down at different intervals.

IMPORTANT
Please make sure you have the trail downloaded before the day. We split into groups throughout the day. Signal can be patchy and there are lots of turns, so most of us having the route helps. I’ll link it here:

Recommended train
Direct train from London Victoria at 09:05, arriving into Arundel at 10:32.
Main other stops are Clapham Junction & East Croydon.

If you’re getting on earlier, drop a message in the group chat saying where you’re sitting so people can join you. Otherwise we’ll all meet at Arundel station!

‍♀️ Pace & vibe
You really can go at your own pace! Within the group there are people who prefer to take it slow and others who like to charge ahead. We naturally split into smaller groups and no one gets left behind. I’m personally someone who changes pace throughout the day (I’m the worst on the hills lol), so honestly there’s zero pressure.

Some parts are chatty, some parts are quieter where you can just take in the views.

• Lunch + snacks
• Plenty of water
• Layers + waterproof
• Walking boots or trail trainers/shoes (it can be muddy)
