Explorer Hike: Richmond to Hampton Court

Join us for a hike along the Thames, with the London Hiking Group. This social event is a perfect opportunity to meet new friends who share a passion for nature and adventure!

📌 Overview:
This is one of our "Explorer" hikes - perfect if you are looking for a longer hike of intermediate difficulty. Please note our Explorer hikes cost £5.
If you prefer a shorter, more social walk, please check out our "City" walks!

🗺️ Route:
Starting at Richmond Tube station, we will walk along the Thames on footpaths and towpaths through lush nature and picturesque neighborhoods with barges and antique houses along the river.
Stopping in Kingston-Upon-Thames for a short break, we will continue walking all the way to Hampton Court and end our walk with a view of Hampton Court Palace. We will then make our way to a nearby Pub for some much-deserved food, drinks, and to socialise!

🥾 Tech Stuff:
The walk is about 9 miles long, taking approx 4 hours to complete.
Mainly flat terrain (some stairs) on concrete and footpaths which can be muddy so advise outdoors/hiking shoes/gear. This will require us to keep a good pace throughout.

- Waterproofs incl. waterproof backpack
- Hiking shoes/gear as required
- Water (recommend 2L.)
- Snacks
- Phone battery pack
- Your smile and enthusiasm!

🚉 Transport:
The walk starts at 11.00 from Richmond Tube station, easily accessible via District Line (underground) or South West Trains (rail)
The walk ends in Hampton Court, near the rail station (South West Trains)

💰 Cost:
The cost of this walk is £5 per person. After sign-up to the Meetup event, you will receive a message with a link to complete the payment.
Please note if no payment is made within 48 hours of receiving the link, you will be automatically withdrawn from the attendees list.
The event fee is non-refundable and non-transferrable.
