City Hike: Canary Wharf to Greenwich

Join us for a hike across the London Docklands, with the London Hiking Group. This social event is a perfect opportunity to meet new friends who share a passion for nature and adventure!

📌 Overview:
This is one of our "City" hikes - perfect if you are looking for a social and relaxed walk with a focus on socialising. Our City hikes are free.
Please check out our "Explorer" walks if you are into longer, scenic and more challenging hiking!

🗺️ Route:
Starting at Canary Wharf tube station, we will walk across the Isle of Dogs through scenic docklands and towpaths, arriving at Mudchute City Farm, with the chance to see some friendly animals in their enclosures! Through the Greenwich Foot Tunnel, saying “hi” to the Cutty Sark, one of the latest Tea Clippers, then exploring the beautiful Greenwich Village and hiking on top the hill in Greenwich Park to take in the skyline view from the top. We’ll end the walk in a nearby pub where we can socialise over drinks and snacks.

🥾 Tech Stuff:
The walk is about 4 miles long, taking approx 2 hours to complete.
Mainly flat terrain and lots of stairs going down/up in the Greenwich tunnel. Mainly on concrete but Mudchute Farm can be muddy so advise outdoors/hiking shoes/gear.

🚉 Transport:
The walk starts at 11.00 outside of Canary Wharf Jubilee Line station, easily accessible via Jubilee, Elizabeth or DLR Lines
The walk ends in Greenwich, near the rail station (Southeastern Trains) and DLR.

Our City walks are free of charge.
