Hanzi/Kanji Writing Practice, Find Your Chinese Name (Beginner Friendly ๐)
Details
Whether you're deeply connected to Asian culture, curious to learn more, or simply looking to meet new people in London, you are warmly welcome here ๐ This event is open to everyone, no matter where you're from.
Join us for another fun-filled afternoon and evening of culture, conversation, games, and genuine connection.
From 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM, this week's cultural activity is all about Chinese names. We'll explore a handful of interesting Hanzi and Kanji characters, unpack how Chinese names are chosen: the balance of meaning, sound, aesthetics, and cultural philosophy behind them, and then help you find the characters that best fit you. By the end, you'll have a Chinese name to call your own.
From 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM, free-flow conversation and networking. Mingle, share stories, and meet new friends.
From 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM, we continue with our casual Board Games Social. Strategy games, party games, or just relaxed chat, all welcome. Bring your favourite snacks to share ๐ฅ๐ช Something from your culture, your hometown, or simply something you love.
