★ Regent's Canal walk: Warwick Avenue to Mile End 🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️

Please join us for a sociable walk along the Regent's Canal from Warwick Avenue to Mile End. The route includes Little Venice, Camden Lock, Old Street Basin and Victoria Park.

The walk is about 8 miles (approximately 3 hours of walking time).

We will stop for lunch in a pub or café along the way (you can bring your own snack if you prefer, but you may have to eat this outside).

The walk will be hosted by Thomas and Mark

MEETING TIME/PLACE

Meet Thomas (the man wearing the brown hat in the photo) outside the station exit of Warwick Avenue Tube station is on the Bakerloo line (zone 2) - choose the exit which is signposted as being for "Little Venice".

We will leave promptly at 10.30am to start the walk (we cannot wait for latecomers, so please use TfL's Journey Planner to ensure you are on time).

CHARGE

There is a £2 meetup charge for this event. Please pay Thomas or Mark when you join the group.

You will also need to pay for your transport and for your lunch.

END POINT

We will finish the walk at Mile End, which is a Tube station (in zone 2) on the Central, Hammersmith & City and District lines [if you prefer to leave the walk earlier there are plenty of bus and Tube services close to the route].

Assuming a total 3h15 of walking and a lunch break of 1h15 you might expect to finish the walk at about 3pm (timings can't be guaranteed).

TRAIN TICKET

All train journey are within zones 1-2 in London, so Oyster cards or Travelcards can be used for all travel.

If you RSVP Yes for this event but cannot join the walk for some reason, please change your reply to No so that we know who to expect.

Members are responsible for their own health and safety. For the walks please always take care (especially when crossing roads), wear appropriate shoes (we may need to walk through puddles) and clothing (to keep you warm and dry), and make sure that you have adequate insurance.
