Let's attempt to get into Wimbledon! (no guarantee we'll be successful!)

Details

**URGENT: You must create a myWIMBLEDON account and download their app on the App Store or Google Play to join the queue: https://www.wimbledon.com/en_gb/mywimbledon/index.html**

Hello all!

Wimbledon has been on my bucket list for years!

However I have never fancied the queue or paying an arm & leg for tickets.

I have heard from others that if we go...

1. Later in the tournament (it runs from 30 June-13 July)
2. Buy a "Ground Pass" (this just gets you into the grounds, but many of the smaller courts won't have a lot of spectators at that time so hopefully we'll get to watch a match)
3. Go later in the day (last matches usually end around 9pm)
4. Go on a rainy day

...we have a better shot at getting in.

So my suggestion is that we meet in the Wimbledon queue at 5pm on Friday the 11th of July and try to get some Grounds Passes and hopefully get to see something on one of the outer courts.

*Grounds tickets are £20, but returns can go for £10. We won't know until we're in the famous Wimbledon queue!
*Ground passes provide access to unreserved seating on the outside courts, and also allow you to queue for returned show court tickets (after 3pm).

THERE IS NO GUARANTEE WE'LL BE SUCCESSFUL!!!!
In which case, we can go for a drink or ice cream nearby.

GENERAL GROUP INFO:
Hello all.
I post all meet ups on 2 different groups: The London Shyness Social Group – Shy and Introvert Friends & The London Introverts Group.
Most meet-ups attract a mix of newbies and people who’ve attended before.
On average, only around 50% of RSVPs attend. So please don’t be put off if there are a large number of RSVPs.
We are generally non-cliquey, gentle and friendly. Please bear in mind that attendees (and host!) will have differing levels of shyness/introversion/social anxiety/neurodivergency etc.
We encourage a friendly and inclusive atmosphere.
This is not a dating group! (There are lot of dedicated dating groups on Meet Up however.)
PLEASE CHANGE YOUR RSVP in good time if you can no longer attend. (Large groups will put many shy and introverted people off!)
There are no attendance fees for this meetup!
