Unleash your curiosity on this walk through some of central Londonâs most characterful cat-themed landmarks. Starting Mornington Crescent and winding south to the Thames, weâll meet the gods, explorers, activists, and jazz-loving alley cats whoâve left their pawprints on the cityâs streets.
đșïž Route Highlights:
- Admire the majestic Bastet statues at Mornington Crescentâwatching over the city since 1928.
- Visit Trim, the jet-black sea cat who circumnavigated Australia and stole sailorsâ dinners.
- Greet Healâs serval, the cat that supposedly advised window displays.
- Salute the Gayer-Anderson Cat, a replica of Egyptâs most revered bronze feline.
- Discover Humphrey, who napped to jazz, and Sam, who âtold the locals when something was going on.â
- Then a bit of a wander to the magnificent -
- Cleopatra sphinxes, installed backwards and still unfazed by bombs or bafflement.

This is a walk for Introverts - a small casual safe space for us to relax and enjoy each others company. As with all my walks it will be fairly ad hoc, may go off script but will be fun
