Fun Investment Banking Game!

Over the course of this day, we will run an investment banking simulation which you can take part in!

Each team runs their own Investment Bank with its own P&L.

People compete against each other, not against a computer. The decisions of each person influences the other people’s results and the market development overall.

Each person runs 4 departments:

• M&A advisory
• Debt capital markets
• Equity capital markets
• PE arm

The simulations are run over 3 rounds.

After an introduction, people familiarize themselves with the tasks and decision making process.

PRE-REQUISITES:
You should have some background in accounting/finance. If you are totally confused if I mention the term "discounted cash flow model", then you will probably not get much out of the day.

Please arrive at 9 for a 930 start. Please bring a laptop.

The product is currently in beta, and we are allowing people to take part in return for providing feedback on the product.

Note: this event is not to teach you about investments (e.g. how to invest your own money). It is about investment banking -- how do things work when medium-sized and large companies raise money. It is of most interest to people who want to get work in investment banking, and those who have are working in investment banking would likely find this fun.
