What we're about

IPFS (Interplanetary File System) eliminates the need for websites to have a central origin server, making it perhaps our best chance to entirely re-architect the Internet. IPFS is a content-addressable, peer-to-peer hypermedia distribution protocol that decentralizes distribution and content-addressing so content can be decoupled from original servers, and connects connected computing devices with the same system of files, addressed by identities and content. The protocol allows the creation of highly distributed web-based applications. IPFS designed to make the web safer, more open and faster as well.
