WHEN YOU CAN'T USE THE WORD "BIG BANG"
AN ITERATIVE GUIDE TO UPGRADING FROM ANGULAR 1.
According to builtwith.com (http://builtwith.com/) over 400,000 Angular 1 apps have been created and released into the wild.
Now that 2 has been released thousands of developers and companies are scrambling to figure out how to migrate or upgrade to 2.
Moving to Angular 2 is a daunting prospect. It's only just been released so there isn't a large body of knowledge on how best to do this.
Most content online talks about how to migrate from 1 to 2 in a "big bang" approach. When your product processes millions every day, using the word "big bang" doesn't engender a lot of support from senior managers or shareholders.
Enterprise companies want an "iterative" method of upgrading from Angular 1.
In this talk I'll go through a real Angular 1 application and upgrade it iteratively to Angular 2.
By the end the Audience will have a step by step roadmap for how to upgrade as well as how to present the arguments for upgrading to stakeholders.
