Vue Test Utils + Nexmo SDK + Swagger + TDD in Node

Details
---- We are happy to co-organise this event with the Node Workshops meetup group (https://www.meetup.com/NodeWorkshops) ----
We are delighted to announce our next event where we will be having 3 guest speakers namely Edd Yerburgh and Alex Lakatos, and Dan Li. We will wrap up the evening with a discussion about Test Driven Development in Node and JS.
Edd Yerburgh ( https://github.com/eddyerburgh ) is the main author of Vue Test Utils ( https://github.com/vuejs/vue-test-utils ) and Avoriaz. He works as a software engineer at the BBC. He is also the author of Testing Vue.js Applications ( https://www.manning.com/books/testing-vuejs-applications ). Edd will be giving us a detailed look at how to test Vue apps using Vue Test Utils. This will benefit those who are new to Vue and those who have experience developing in this exciting framework.
Alex Lakatos ( https://www.nexmo.com/blog/2017/06/05/minting-new-javascript-developer-advocate-alex-lakatos-dr/ ) works as a developer at Nexmo ( https://www.nexmo.com/ ). He will be taking us through a few demos showing us how to use the Nexmo tools within a Node environment. This will provide you with a good idea on how to add VOIP and SMS integration to your system.

Dan Li ( https://www.linkedin.com/in/d4nyll ) is a Fullstack JavaScript Developer currently working at the Conversation Service team at Nexmo. Before joining Nexmo he worked in Hong Kong for 2 years, where he ran his own digital agency, Brew, which specialized in the Meteor JavaScript framework. He's currently writing a book - Building Enterprise JavaScript Applications - which aims to help developers navigate the complex development landscape surrounding JavaScript, by explaining how different tools and libraries all fit together to make a robust, production-ready application.
About the Talk-------------- Do your applications have an API? Are their specifications written in a text document? Do you often find them out of date? If so, Swagger may be able to help. Swagger is an API Description Language that enables you to describe your API as code (Specification as Code), allows you to test this specification against your implementation; if there's a mismatch, you can either fix your implementation, or update your specification - the two will never be out-of-sync with each other. In this talk, Daniel will give you an overview of the Swagger ecosystem, before moving on to wrapping a simple API with Swagger, showing you how to write a Swagger specification, use it to validate requests.

We will close the event off with a discussion about Test Driven Development within Node and JavaScript. We will put forward a few discussion points and hear how (if at all) developers deal with these issues.
