🎀 Our September Talks

Param Singh - Automating GraphQL Schema and Code Generation using NestJS for ReactJS.

Improve your dev experience and reduce the dev time by generating GraphQL schema in NestJS. Passing this schema through GraphQL codegen will generate cooked up Typescript based React hooks to be used in your React Components easily.

I'm Param Singh, a Javascript developer who loves to create frontend apps and keeping up the modern web frontend trends and tools.

Amber Shand - Managing imposter syndrome in tech.

An introduction to what imposter syndrome is, the different ways it can show up in your life and how it can stop you from living to your full potential. We will be exploring how we can navigate these feelings of imposter syndrome when it shows up with actionable steps to kick imposter syndrome to the curb.

I'm currently working as a Frontend Engineer at CybSafe. Outside of my day job, I co-host the Glowing in Tech podcast showcasing black women in tech, blog at https://www.ambershand.co.uk/ and I'm also part of the Leadership Team at Coding Black Females and a Code First Girls Instructor & Ambassador.

Mark Jose - Leading from the Front. How front-end architectural patterns are shaping how we build APIs and driving server side modernisation.

In this talk I’ll look at how front end JavaScript frameworks intended for the browser are helping shape the way in which we build modern server side solutions, most of which are targeting the cloud.

I'm Mark Jose, a technical principal and FINOS contributor with more than 20 years of software development experience. I've developed and architected solutions in Investment Banking and Energy Trading.
