Data Science Hackday

Hi All,

We’re delighted to announce our next Data Science Hackday on Saturday 22nd March 1000 - 1700 which will be taking place on the 2nd floor of the Hub at London South Bank University (big thanks to Valerio Ficcadenti and everyone at LSBU for hosting us). To get here, find the LSBU Hub, off Borough Road or type 'LSBU Hub entrance' into google maps (other map apps take you nearby but not the correct place).

Come network with fellow data enthusiasts, share insights, and enhance your programming skills. No prior experience is required, just bring your curiosity and a laptop (having a working Python or R installation ready to go is a good start!) Don't miss this chance to dive into the world of data science and expand your knowledge in a supportive and engaging environment.

As always, this will be an attendee-driven day of hands-on coding on any data science topic you’re interested in so please remember to bring your laptop and come ready with ideas for topics to work on. The choice of projects is entirely up to you but to make our meetup day run smoothly, we're collecting project ideas in advance so we can shortlist a few exciting challenges for everyone to work on.

If you have a data science project, analysis, or machine learning idea you'd love to explore with a group, submit it here! Whether it's a Kaggle competition, an open dataset analysis, or a hands-on coding challenge in R or Python, we want to hear from you. Please fill out the form here.

The structure of the day will be as follows:
• 10:00 AM – Arrive, discuss topics, form groups
• 10:30 AM – Work on selected topics
• Lunch
• 4:45 PM – Lightning talks for anyone who’s interested
• 5:00 PM – Clear up
• 5:15 PM – Drinks nearby

Please be aware that, for security reasons, you will need to RSVP with your full name.
