About the Group
This is a safe, welcoming, and empowering space for Black people and People of Colour who are exploring or deepening their journey into yoga, mindfulness, and holistic wellness.
Whether you're brand new to yoga or already roll out your mat every day, this group is for you. We centre community, care, joy, and healing. No experience needed, no fancy clothes, or pretzel poses.
Why This Group?
Yoga and wellness spaces can often feel exclusive or unwelcoming to Black and PoC communities. This group was created to provide:
Representation – Where the teacher and community reflect your lived experience.
Accessibility – Sessions are beginner-friendly.
Community – We’re building a space where you don’t just come to class, you come to connect.
What to Expect
Guided yoga sessions (gentle, accessible, and inclusive)
Meditation and breathwork
Regular events
Wellness chats and community check-ins
Occasional outdoor classes and nature-based practices
All events are led by me, Amani, a Black yoga facilitator passionate about holding space for healing, joy, and connection.

Black folks and PoC of all genders, ages (18+), and body type
Total beginners and experienced yogis alike
People seeking a non-judgmental, culturally aware space to move and rest
Anyone curious about using movement, breath, and mindfulness to care for themselves
