About the organizer:
### Teaching
Kevin is an Associate Lecturer at both UAL and the RCA, where he teaches a mix of technical and creative subjects. At the RCA, he runs sessions on Blender, while at UAL, he teaches model making, and photography for animation students.
He hopes to build a steady teaching schedule that will allow him to fund his artistic practice as a photographer.
### Photography
Kevin’s photography spans multiple disciplines but is always rooted in a common theme: the urban and built environment.
He specializes in environmental portraiture, capturing people in real-world settings to highlight their connection to their surroundings. He believes that a person’s environment tells a richer, more authentic story than a traditional studio backdrop ever could.
Beyond portraits, Kevin applies the same storytelling approach to buildings and objects, focusing on their character and presence within the urban landscape.
At this stage, he’s beginning to seek out paid photography work, but his main focus remains on his own artistic projects and community-driven initiatives.
### Community
Every other week, Kevin organizes a street photography photo walk in Central London, open to photographers of all backgrounds and experience levels. His aim is to create a welcoming, inclusive space where people can practice photography and connect with others who share their passion.
Many attendees return regularly, forming a growing creative community. To celebrate and showcase their work, Kevin publishes a quarterly zine featuring contributions from group members, giving them the chance to see their photography in print.
Alongside the photo walks, he also runs smaller workshops, offering a more hands-on learning experience for those looking to deepen their skills.
