London Transport Museum Meet-Up
Details
Join us for an informal catch up at the London Transport Museum. Meet at 3pm at the cafe on level 0 next to the All Aboard Play Zone. Adults can catch up over a coffee/tea whilst the kids have fun in the play area. The All Aboard Playzone features mini vehicles to drive, buses to steer, a Thames Clipper Cafe and a baby area with interactive light wall and building blocks. There are lots of interesting exhibits for older children too. Anyone who wants to wander around the museum can break off and look at the buses etc.
The museum is located within Covent Garden. The closest Underground stations to the Museum are Covent Garden (2 minutes walk away), Leicester Square (4 minutes), Holborn (5 minutes), Charing Cross (7 minutes) and Embankment (8 minutes). These stations are not step-free. The closest bus stops to the Museum are Savoy Street, Southampton Street / Covent Garden, Lancaster Place and Aldywch. The closest railway stations to the Museum are Charing Cross (8 minutes' walk away) and Waterloo (17 minutes), both of which have step-free access. There is very little parking near the museum.
Entry to the museum is £25 for one adult, with kids going free BUT the ticket is an annual pass allowing unlimited return visits for a year. I appreciate that this is more expensive than our usual meet-ups; however, the museum offers a concession rate of £1 annual passes for anyone in receipt of: universal credit, pension credit, working tax credit, child tax credit, or employment and support allowance. If finances are still a barrier to you attending this Meet-Up then please direct message me and we can release some of our funding.
To find the meet-up look out for the pride flags on the table/buggy/bags - I'll make them as obvious as possible!
