Kew Gardens Spring Meet-Up
Details
Based on the popular request of our surveys - a trip to Kew Gardens to check out their new adventure playground. Join us for an adventure in Kew Gardens’ stunning natural playground, designed for children aged up to 12 to explore the wonders of nature through play. Climb through giant wooden structures, splash in water features, hide in tunnels, and discover plants, sand, and sensory trails spread across an area the size of 40 tennis courts. It’s part garden, part adventure world — the perfect mix of fresh air, freedom, and fascination for curious minds. Be sure to pack your children's wellies and rain suits as there are lots of water features in this garden to play with. In mid-February the crocuses should also be out in the Kew Winter Garden for a beautiful carpet of purple.
Kew is a very large place with 4 different entrances. It can be reached by rail, overground, underground, bus, and bike. Parking on site is limited but parking can be found in local side roads. The children's Garden is closet to the Brentford Gate on the river, but is also an easy walk from the Elizabeth Gate. Due to how large the site is I would recommend planning your journey individually. There is good wheelchair accessibility throughout the gardens.
Entry to Kew Gardens is cheapest when booked in advance online. Standard online rates are £24.50 for adults and £6 for children aged 4 - 16. Discounts are available for those who live in neighbouring boroughs (which I know a few of you do - please check the website). Those in receipt of certain benefits (PIP, DLA, housing benefit, ESA, JSA, CTC, WTC, income support, and ARC) can enter for £1. As always, if finances are a barrier to you attending then please DM me as we have a fund to ensure that everyone can attend.
We will meet in the Children's Garden at 13:30 so aim to get to Kew for 13:00 so you have enough time to walk there. As the Children's Garden is so large I will send my phone number out to those who have RSVPed yes a few days before the meet up. Please call me when you arrive and we can then find each other.
