What we’re about
Welcome to the London LGBTQ+ Dinner Club.
We are a friendly group that welcomes everyone regardless of where you are on the spectrum on sexuality or gender identity and expression.
The group was founded by Ian, who ran the successful London Gay Men's Dinner Club for eight years and the same warmth and welcome that that group was known for is now reaching out to all in the LGBTQ+ community.
We will meet once a month to go for dinner at a restaurant in London. We will meet for pre-dinner drinks first before heading to that month's chosen restaurant. There may be months where we have a social gathering at a pub/bar but generally we will be meeting to go out for food. Restaurant recommendations are always welcome.
The aim of the group is to meet and make new friends and be a welcoming, friendly and inclusive group of LGBTQ+ people.
The one rule for dinner is that we split the bill by how many attend. This avoids awkwardness and (from years of experience) the tricky task of figuring out individual amounts. If you do not agree with this, then please do not sign-up for events.
Keep an eye out for events as they are announced on Meetup. It will be great to welcome you and any friends you have to the group.

Christmas Celebration at Boulevard Brasserie Covent Garden
Boulevard Brasserie, 40 Wellington Street, Covent Garden, WC2E 7BD, GBYes - it's THAT time of year again!
Our Christmas Dinner Club Celebration is returning to the Boulevard Brasserie in Covent Garden for an evening of seasonal food and some Dinner Club Christmas traditions.Firstly, for those of you that wish to start our festive evening with a pre-dinner drink, we will be meeting at Retro Bar (situated on George Court just off The Strand) from 6pm. This is a great opportunity to gather and chat informally with other group members before we head to the restaurant.
Our meal at Boulevard Brasserie is at 7.30pm.
Situated in the heart of Covent Garden, just a stone's throw away from the bustling Piazza, Boulevard Brasserie is one of the area’s iconic fixtures. Set over three floors, it lends itself perfectly to special occasions, with Christmas marking one of our most cherished times of the year. Our Parisian interior and festive décor, paired with the comforting aroma of mulled wine and quintessential French cuisine promises an occasion to remember. Our Christmas menu is a tribute to the classics, offering a traditional culinary journey that perfectly compliments the holiday season, with dishes like Boeuf Bourguignon alongside Roast Turkey with all the trimmings.
We will be eating from the Christmas Set Menu (link below). I will require pre-orders for each course. The set menu costs £44.50 per person (this does not include drinks or service).
Christmas at Boulevard Brasserie
Because our booking is right in the middle of a very busy time for all London restaurants, the demands from the restaurant are quite specific.
1. The food bill needs to be paid in full by October 31st so you I need full payment at the point you RSVP.
2. Drinks will be ordered and paid for per table, on the night. I have negotiated that each table will pay in cash as individual card payments will not be allowed as this will take up too much time on a very busy night for the staff at the restaurant.Secret Santa Lucky Dip
A Dinner Club Christmas tradition. You are invited to bring a gift to add to Santa's sack. After the main course, you will get to choose a gift (at random - but not your own) and be overcome with wonder and excitement at what you receive.
Suggested spend: £10
Ensure gifts are wrapped
No alcoholic gifts
Tasteful gifts are encouragedThere is no obligation to take part in Secret Santa.
After our meal has finished and if there is time, those willing are welcome to head back to Retro or to Halfway to Heaven or into Soho to conclude the evening with a post -dinner drink or two.
It is always a lovely meal to share and even if Christmas is something you prefer not to celebrate - the evening will be full of the usual good food and company that makes the group such a joy to be a part of.
To reserve your space, you must RSVP and pay £46.00 which includes the set-menu amount plus an extra £1.50 to cover booking costs on Meetup and PayPal. Please note that Meetup also charge a small reservation handling fee.
