About us
Welcome to the London LGBTQ+ Dinner Club.
We are a friendly group that welcomes everyone regardless of where you are on the spectrum on sexuality or gender identity and expression.
The group was founded by Ian, who ran the successful London Gay Men's Dinner Club for eight years and the same warmth and welcome that that group was known for is now reaching out to all in the LGBTQ+ community.
We will meet once a month to go for dinner at a restaurant in London. We will meet for pre-dinner drinks first before heading to that month's chosen restaurant. There may be months where we have a social gathering at a pub/bar but generally we will be meeting to go out for food. Restaurant recommendations are always welcome.
The aim of the group is to meet and make new friends and be a welcoming, friendly and inclusive group of LGBTQ+ people.
The one rule for dinner is that we split the bill by how many attend. This avoids awkwardness and (from years of experience) the tricky task of figuring out individual amounts. If you do not agree with this, then please do not sign-up for events.
Keep an eye out for events as they are announced on Meetup. It will be great to welcome you and any friends you have to the group.

15 Years of Dinner Club (part 1) at L'Ulivo Charing Cross
L'ulivo Villiers Street, 23 Villiers Street London, WC2H 6ND, London, GBIt was back in 2011 that the very first Dinner Club took place. Here we are 15 years later meeting each month for an evening of food and fellowship.
So, the next two Dinner Club meals are to celebrate Dinner Club's 15 years - with this first meal at the lovely L'ulivo Italian restaurant on Villiers Street just next door to Charing Cross Station.
Here at L'ulivo Charing Cross, located in 23 Villiers St (loo-lee-voh), our customers are the number one priority, and we‘ve been taking care of them our way for years. Freshly prepared authentic Italian cuisine is what we love and what keeps our customers coming back. We’ve always endeavoured to provide the best food, service and atmosphere of any London eatery.
All of the ingredients we use here at L'ulivo Charing Cross are just that: local. We stock our restaurant kitchen in much the same way that we stock our home kitchen, with daily deliveries of fresh ingredients that we select ourselves, at market each morning.

L'Ulivo menuOur evening will begin at 6pm for those that wish to come for a pre-dinner drink at Retro Bar on George Court (just off The Strand). This is a great opportunity to meet and chat to others coming for the meal in a more relaxed and informal setting before going for the meal.
Our table at L'Ulivo is booked for 7.30pm. Please meet us there if you are not attending pre-dinner drinks.
Our previous meal at L'Ulivo was delicious and the staff were very attentive - so this should be a lovely way to start our 15th birthday celebrations.
If you would like to come along for this meal, please RSVP as soon as you can. You will need to pay a deposit of £11. £10 of which will go to your meal and the remaining £1 is split between PayPal and Meetup costs. Meetup will also charge a 'handling fee' that is part of their terms and conditions for hosting the group on their website.
I do not need pre-orders for this meal as we will order on the night.
Following the meal, for those of us that wish to, we will go on for post-dinner drinks (probably either back at Retro Bar or at Halfway to Heaven). This is a lovely way of rounding off the evening but is also non-compulsory to attend.
