LLM: KEW GARDENS WALK, 16 JULY 2017

Details

I love visiting Kew Gardens. Every time I go there I learn something new about medicinal plants. In the recent Kew Garden's Plant Report it says there are 28 000 medicinal plants on this planet. How many, I wonder, are in Kew Gardens itself? Well, for sure loads.

On my recent visit, I asked a Kew representative if it is okay for me to bring a small group to the Gardens and tell them about plants. I was told that this would be fine. On this premise, I would love to run a herbal walk there for a small group of people, which should make it more enjoyable for everyone.

The walk will last for 2 hours and we will meet medicinal plants in the Mediterranean Garden, and, time permitting some from the Queens Garden or the Kew Kitchen Gardens.

I will ask to contribute £1 at the time of RSVP to secure your space. This amount is non-refundable.

You will also have to purchase your entry ticket to Kew Gardens, which at present is £16.50 at the gate (£15.50 if bought on line before the day – concessions £15.50 at gate, £14.50 bought on line). After the walk, you might want to stay at the Gardens to enjoy them, or join Georgian cookery demonstrations at the Royal Kitchens to discover what George III used to eat during his life at Kew Palace and the ingredients used to make his favourite dishes (some of them are taken from Kew Kitchen Gardens).

Looking forward to seeing you on the 16th of July.
