Welcome to the London Magical Realism Book Club, where we explore the intersection of mystery and magic in literature. If you enjoy delving into the surreal and supernatural elements found in books by authors like Haruki Murakami, Isabel Allende, and Angela Carter, then this is the group for you.
We meet every six weeks to discuss and dissect our chosen novel, uncovering hidden meanings and unravelling the mysteries over a cosy hot drink. The plan is to explore classics as well as more contemporary novels.

Magical Realism Book Club Meet Up

The plan is to spend an hour or so at the Foyles Café discussing our favourite magical realism books- whether classic or contemporary- over a cosy hot drink.
Pets are welcome! I have a small, lively dog who might attend.
At each meeting, I will give attendees 3 book options to narrow things down and we can all vote.
At this first meeting, and for those who want to start reading now, we can discuss Bulgakov's The Master and the Margarita- The Master and Margarita by Mikhail Bulgakov | Goodreads. We will also vote on our next book.
We will meet every 6 weeks to allow for plenty of time to read as slowly and as lazily as we want to !
