BERLIN MIXED GIRL MEETUP

Do you over-explain a lot? Feel like a stranger in your hometown? Are you tired of feeling misunderstood? You find yourself on the intersection of two (or more) heritages and not being accepted by either? Then Mixed Girl Meetup is THE SPACE for you! What to expect at our first Berlin Mixed Girl Meetup:
2-2.05pm - Welcome & Introductions
2.05 - 3.30pm
Open discussion of core topics with flashcards that the girls are given randomly to - You converse at your comfort level. If you would rather just listen this is also welcome. Topics include:

• Addressing mixed race stereotypes

• The journey to confidence

• How to feel more understood without overexplaining

• Microaggressions and their effect on us / Solutions on how to navigate them

• Is it a compliment or fetishisation?

• Dating Yes‘ & No No‘s

• Is it fair to ask us to identify with one or the other?

• The family structure & feeling like an outsider in your own family / friend circle

• How do we teach our children about embracing this inbetweenship?

3.30 - 5pm

SOCA DANCE WORKSHOP with dance teacher & mixed sister Samira
Whether you are a beginner or already a pro! This fun dance workshop will release some tension and teach you the newest dance moves from the Caribbean islands whilst making new friendships and having a great time! Come as you are and wear what you are comfortable with. We have booked the entire studio so the space is ours and just for us women!
