London MUG #9: Store a Country in Your Database and Javascript & realtime gaming

Details
Save the date for November's London MongoDB User Group! This month we will have talks from 10gen's finest: PHP internals expert Derick Rethans on "Storing a city, a country or even a planet in a database " and Christian Kvalheim -- the driving force behind the MongoDB Node.js driver -- on "Javascript and realtime gaming".
Derick Rethans is the author of Xdebug and an OpenStreetMap and mapping enthusiast. In this session, Derick will focus on the issue of storing increasingly large amounts of data in a database, and the subsequent use of this data. For example, the data found in OpenStreetMap is stored in MongoDB. MongoDB is an excellent match for this type of data, as it boasts great geographical index support, as well as being easily adaptable for growing amounts of data and use within the cloud.
Christian Kvalheim suggests we all secretly dream about being game developers and building the next big game out there. Join Christian on a trip through gaming and the basics of node.js game coding -- with a fun surprise at the end.
Are you interested in presenting a lightning talk at this month's MongoDB user group? Please let me know (https://www.meetup.com/London-MongoDB-User-Group/suggestion/)! We have space one more speaker for this event.
As usual there will be burritos from Poncho No 8, plenty of beer, and MongoDB swag to give away -- space is limited, so RSVP now.
