Join us at the Postal Museum

From cryptic Victorian Valentine cards to a lion encountered on Salisbury Plain. And the odd pistol, too. There’s nothing ordinary about the story of the post”

Our visit will include browsing the exhibitions, after taking a ride on the Mail Rail:

“Located across the road from The Postal Museum, Mail Rail is a small train which runs underground. Initially designed to transport mail, Mail Rail reveals the story of the postal service’s subterranean world beneath the streets of London.”

Please note: the The Postal Museum and Mail Rail are in two separate buildings on Phoenix Place.

FROM 1.15pm: MEET IN THE MUSEUMCAFE (optional) which is in the main Postal Museum building welcome space

1.50pm: MAIL RAIL
We’ll head across the road to ride the Mail Rail! Or if you have skipped the cafe, you can meet us at the Mail Rail entrance

4pm - Late: PUB SOCIAL (optional)
We'll head to a local pub for a social chit chat and drinks- details TBC

GETTING THERE:

Farringdon, Russell Square, King’s Cross St Pancras and Chancery Lane tube
stations are all less than a mile away.

King’s Cross St Pancras and Farringdon rail stations are both less than a mile away.

There is no car park. Local parking should available for a charge.

Buses 17, 19, 38, 45, 46, 55, 63, 341 all stop near The Postal Museum.

If you can no longer attend, please change your RSVP as soon as possible.

We remove members from the LoMAZ Meetup group who:

•RSVP as ‘Going' but then do not show up (without changing their RSVP) three times in a row

•RSVP as ‘Going' but then change their RSVP to 'No' five times in a row

•Turn up at an event without being on the 'Going' list (i.e. members who have not signed up or are on the waitlist)
