Free - Notting Hill Carnival, Tour, Walk, Music, Eat, Drink

This event offers a cultural experience at the Notting Hill Carnival, Europe's largest street festival, on Sunday, August 24, 2025. This is an opportunity to experience the culture, music, food, and energy of this celebration of Caribbean heritage.
Event Details:

• Walk: Navigate the streets to see the highlights, including the main parade route, sound systems, and hidden gems of the Carnival.
• Music & Dancing: Experience the rhythms of steel bands, calypso, reggae, and salsa. The best sound systems will be sought out to experience the Carnival.
• Authentic Caribbean Food & Drink: Enjoy Caribbean cuisine with jerk chicken, curry goat, fried plantain, and more. Sample traditional drinks like rum, coconut water, and Guinness punch.
• Networking & Socializing: Connect with other carnival enthusiasts, make new friends, and share the excitement of this event.

Meeting Point: Meet at Warwick Avenue Station at 15:30 PM (We will walk up to the carnival as they sometimes close stations on the route). Take the Warwick Avenue exit. I will post what I will be wearing on the day.
What to Bring:
Drinks can be quite expensive as there is normally a price mark up and local convenience stores so it is better to take your own.

• Comfortable shoes for walking and dancing.
• Bright clothing to embrace the Carnival spirit.
• A water bottle to stay hydrated.
• Cash, as some food and drink stalls might be cash-only.
• Photo ID, as some venues or events might require it.

Cost: This Meetup is free, but attendees should budget for their food, drinks, and any purchases at the Carnival.

TRAVEL, ACCOMMODATION, INSURANCE
This is a hobby event, there is no product or service offered. Although we provide detailed suggestions, each participant is expected to arrange their own travel - this gives everyone the freedom and choice. Anyone interested in travel or outdoor insurance should also arrange this on their own. As mentioned above we always take extreme precautions, but some people may still feel safer if covered.
As most of our trips are confirmed or postponed very close to the event date - heavily depending on the weather forecasts - we advise not to buy this until the last minute. People getting tickets from the same station are encouraged to meet early on the day to benefit from discounts such as GroupSave or you may consider purchasing a Network railcard (⅓ off) if you plan on doing this regularly.
