UPDATE: Folks, Alex has had to reschedule, so we'll look forward to his "Blurred Code" talk at a future LDNUG event. Instead, we've roped in the one and only Mark Rendle, who's going to share the story of "How JavaScript Happened", an insightful (and extremely funny) look at the history of programming language design, and the key decisions across the decades which influenced the syntax and behaviour of JavaScript.

We're back at FundApps in Shoreditch for our February meetup! Our guest speaker this month is LDNUG regular and first-time presenter Alex Sheppard-Godwin. Following Alex's talk we're going to hold a park bench discussion about the state of .NET in 2024 - from the release of .NET 8, to C# being TIOBE's Language of the Year, and everything that's happening with .NET Aspire, Razor Components and web assembly, there's a lot going on and we'd love to hear what you think about it all.

Alex Sheppard-Godwin: Blurred Code (RESCHEDULED)

Alex will walk us through the challenges of writing code with poor sight, and some of the techniques and workarounds that he uses to make things work.

Alex Sheppard-Godwin is a developer and solutions architect with over 30 years of experience working in predominantly finance and legal industries. Usually codes in C# and SQL Server but not too fussy. Find Alex on LinkedIn at www.linkedin.com/in/asheppardgodwin/
