Richmond Pub Crawl

The White Cross, Riverside (off Water Lane), Richmond, TW9 1TH - http://thewhitecrossrichmond.com/ - is right on the riverside, with some of the best river views of any pub in London from the beer garden, so that's where we'll be if the weather's fine.

The nearest station is Richmond, served by the District Line and London Overground as well as National Rail services from Waterloo which have connections to other lines at Vauxhall and Clapham Junction. Trains from Waterloo take as little as 16 minutes.

Turn left when you leave the station and walk down the The Quadrant and then George Street (which is Richmond high street, in all but name) until you reach the junction just past Sticks 'n' Sushi. Water Lane is on the opposite side of the road between Sostrene Grene and the Cancer Research shop and you'll find the pub by the river at the end of the lane.

Please note that as, for most of us, the travelling will be a bit more challenging than normal, I have put up earlier starting and finishing times.

These pubs are more or less next to each other so we can pick & mix. The last time we came here at least one of these pubs was using plastic cups, so if this is going to spoil your enjoyment you might want to bring your own glass.

The Railway Tavern, 28-29 The Quadrant, TW9 1DN - https://www.nicholsonspubs.co.uk/restaurants/yorkshireandthehumber/therailwaytavernrichmond# - is open until midnight and the Tap Tavern, Princes Street, TW9 1ED - https://www.taptavern.co.uk/ - is open until 1am so they might suit those who want to stay out later.
