# 5 design tricks to make any report in Power BI look awesome

Do you feel like you lack creativity when it comes to building nice report designs in Power BI? Do you feel overwhelmed every time you jump from the data modelling part to data visualization, not knowing what looks “good” or “bad” or where to even start?

If this describes you when building your Power BI reports, then this session is for you!
During this session, I will be sharing 5 tricks that will make every report look great. These are simple design tricks that anyone can apply to take their reports to the next level, even if you’re not a Picasso or a design wizard! I will be guiding you through all the steps, from the first chart I build to the final reporting solution. By the end of this session, you will have a good understanding of the main factors that can influence the design and user experience of your Power BI reports and you will be ready to start applying the same tricks to your reports.

About Mara
Mara is the Founder of Data Pears, a blog and YouTube channel where she regularly posts blogs and videos about Power BI, Data Visualisation and Data Analytics. Mara loves everything around data visualisation and report design and her main goal is to change the world of reporting, one report at a time. She believes that effective reporting solutions are more than just data and charts, they are a beautiful combination of data, insights, and user experience. After working with Power BI for 6+ years, she decided to embark on an entrepreneurship journey, with the focus on guiding enterprise customers and individuals on their Power BI journeys. Before that, she was a Cloud Solutions Architect for Data & AI at Microsoft.

Data Viz Challenge

Each month we set a challenge to create a report based on an open dataset. This month we using the Land Registry's Price Paid Data:

This month's meetup will be held at Nigel Frank's London office. Building security requires your full name in order to register you for the event - please provide this via meetup during registration.
