Join us for another London Sci-Fi/Fantasy Authors social! This casual gathering is for aspiring and published writers to share ideas, discuss their work and journeys, and connect with other like minded creatives in a relaxed and welcoming environment.

We’ll be meeting in the The Players Lounge at Bat & Ball Covent Garden!! The venue has very generously given everyone attending 20% off food, drinks AND games! So make sure to come out and support the venue!

Join us in the upstairs room of the Grafton Pub in Camden for another writing-focused session.

Bring whatever you’re working on, whether you’re outlining a new idea or deep into your current WIP. This is a space for writers to connect, share ideas, and find inspiration. Whether you’re looking for feedback, want to brainstorm with others, or simply need a quiet place to write, our goal is to build a supportive and collaborative community for sci-fi and fantasy authors at all stages of their journey.

Writing will start at 6:30, but feel free arrive and leave at your own convenience! We will end at 8:30pm, but the pub is open till 11pm so after it ends people can mingle or go home as they please. While we encourage collaboration and occasional chat we ask everyone be mindful of those focused on writing until 8pm.

Join us on Wednesday, February 4th 2026 at 7:00 PM for a Publishing Q&A with literary agent Ed Wilson at Craft Beer Co. Brixton.

Ed Wilson is an agent and director of Johnson & Alcock Literary Agency, a London agency running since the 1950s, representing a vibrant list of fiction and non-fiction, from new voices to established, bestselling and award-winning authors. He has an active SFF list, representing multiple award-winning authors, and is always on the lookout for new writers.

Ed believes passionately in demystifying publishing, and can be found giving talks to writers’ groups, university courses, up and down the country (and online) about all aspects of the writing/publishing process. He acts as a mentor and is a podcast regular, and ran a regular Guardian Masterclass entitled ‘How to Get Published’ for a decade.

This session offers a rare opportunity to hear insights from one of the most experienced figures in genre publishing, from what agents look for in submissions to the evolving landscape of speculative fiction. Writers of all levels are welcome. Just bring your questions!
