A Sci-Fi & Fantasy Workshop: Building Worlds From Themes

Magical pearls. How to build sci-fi and fantasy worlds based on the one thing you’re sure of.

In this workshop, we’ll explore how compelling speculative worlds can inform the plot and charcters of your story, and vice versa. Together, we’ll look at how authors use a central idea to shape the worlds they create and guide you through techniques for expanding it into a vibrant, immersive world.

The workshop will introduce the concept and allow time for some questions. We’ll then give attendees the chance to try their hand putting it into practice by writing a story outline to the theme for 30 minutes, so come prepared to create!

There will be an option for feedback at the end if anyone wishes.
