Publishing Professionals Q&A with Aje Roberts, Editor at Tor Books

Ajebowale (Aje) joined Tor in 2025, where she's building a bespoke list across fantasy romance, romantasy, SFF and romance. Authors she has worked with include Nikki St. Crowe, Lucy Lehane and Jade Church. As an editor, she is building a list that represents the society that we live in and that pushes boundaries and elevates intersectionally diverse authors.

Tor Books is one of the most renowned publishers of science fiction and fantasy in the world. An imprint of Macmillan, Tor has been home to some of the most influential voices in speculative fiction, including authors like Brandon Sanderson, V. E. Schwab, Tamsyn Muir, and Robert Jordan.
