Writing Sprint: First Project
Details
Writing Sprint: First Project
Designed for writers who want focused and consistent accountability partners to build momentum on their science fiction project.
Unlike our weekly open sessions, the Writing Sprint runs as a closed eight-week cohort with the same group of writers meeting consistently. The emphasis is on creating a close-knit writership with writers in a similar place, fostering better trust, feedback and progress.
What to expect each session
- Check in: weekly recap
- 1 hour 15 mins of focused writing
- 15 minutes reset
- 1 hour of focused discussion i.e. feedback, critique, idea bouncing
- Check-in: weekly goals
There is no need to share your work, but for those that would like to, there will be private google doc folder for you to load your pieces to.
How the sprints work
- Cohort size: Six writers
- Who is it for: Writers working on their first project
- Same time, same location
Each writer sets:
- One personal milestone for the eight weeks
- A weekly writing goal
Progress is visualised through simple weekly updates. This structure is designed to help you commit and stay consistent.
