The Lake District - August Bank holiday weekend Trip!

A wonderful weekend exploring the Lake District. We will arrive on Friday and leave either Sunday or Monday. I will be organising hikes on all three days, Saturday, Sunday and Monday and It will be up to you how long you stay.

We will be staying in Windermere as it has buses to get to where we will be hiking. I will suggest hotels but it is up to you to organise transport and accommodation.

Loughrigg Fell Circular is our first hike on Saturday. A moderate 7.5 mile hike, we will see beautiful views of the area, lakes, hills and a man-made cave, Rydal Cave. We will get the bus to Ambleside which takes about 11 mins.

Ambleside and Troutbeck Walk is our Sunday hike. A moderate 7.6 mile trail where we will see lakes, waterfalls and beautiful views over the area. Again a 11 min bus ride.

Monday if you stay we will be doing Windermere to Townend where we will see two lakes, a hill, a garden and Townend a 17th century house. We end back at Windermere.

Arrive on Friday at anytime but it must be Friday as we hike Saturday morning. We will leave the hotel around 9am to catch the buses. Please have suitable footwear, be okay with inclines and declines and okay with a little scrambling if needed. We take a lunch break halfway and stop at any coffee shops along the way if people need coffee and/or food.
