Welcome to our brand spanking new meet-up group!!
This group is designed to bring together Londoners old and new, local and international, everyone welcome! We'll be kicking things off in March with a bang, so get in on the ground floor if you can where everybody will be a fresh face!
The group will seek to offer a range of activities with many free or cheap options, alongside meetups at ticketed events. This is a brand new endeavour and we plan to start in Spring 2025 and make a a genuine new community in this crazy city. We hope it provides a great platform for making new friends, and offers exciting ideas to bring along your own friends too.
We're running all this purely for the joy of it, with no monetary benefit for us, as that would just spoil the fun of it. All the same, we'll be putting in the work to ensure everyone has a good time and feels involved!
We'll maintain a zero tolerance policy with regards to any poor behaviour, treating safety of our attendees as a top priority.
What Kind of Activities Will You be Running?
A little bit of everything! Nights out, board games, walks, museums, park hangs, rock climbing, swimming, creative endeavours
Is there any cost?
All of our events are organised for free out of a genuine desire to foster new connections across London! We'll try and arrange for as many free activities as possible, but there are also instances where we will arrange to meet at some kind of ticketed event. This isn't something we profit from in anyway, we've just chosen something that looks fun! Across all of our activities we'll try and stay cost-conscious in order to make our events open to everyone. As the days get longer free events will also become a lot easier!
What age range will be there at your events?
Whilst there will be a natural tendency for our events to attract people in earlier life stages, we are not ageist in the slightest and believe our community is enriched by people of all ages, and all types!
Can I Come Alone?
Absolutely!! In fact it's encouraged, most people joining will be coming by themselves eager to meet new people like yourself.

What is all this?
This is a fun enterprise set up purely for the purposes of bringing new people together and having a good time. Our meet-ups are for everyone - all inclusive and welcoming! Our events will follow no particular theme - variety is the spice of life after all - and we'll try to keep a nice mix of different accessible options.Can I come alone?
Of course!! That's nerve-racking for some but a huge number of our participants come alone and feel equally uncertain about it. The hardest part is only ever the activation energy required to ask that first question or two.Is there any cost?
We are not making a penny from any of this - It's all done for the pure thrill of the thing itself and with the belief that the monetisation of a fun project is a sure-fire way to suck the joy out of it! We will be selecting some activities that will be ticketed events, but it will simply be up to you to book in if you want to come!Do I need to sign up?

🏊 Hyde Park Lido is opening Saturday Morning on the 17th May 🏊 This event will run for a morning swim and end with a coffee - finishing up about 1pm. Those that wish to carry on hanging out are welcome, but I’ll have a flight to catch!
Booking the morning session costs only £6.20 (or £3.35 if you have a concession!) bring towels and warm clothes. Lockers are available for valuables but will cost a little bit extra to use.

We’re going to Thorpe Park!!! I’m setting up a separate WhatsApp group for this one within the community as will be a bigger day to sort out. I can organise us a small group discount if people are willing to trust me with a transfer (saves us 5.55 pounds each) or else you can book your ticket individually for 37 quid. Discussions and organisation for this trip will take place in the Thorpe Park chat. I will be aiming to get numbers / transfers for group ticket purchasesby 11th May, but of course you can still come regardless!
We'll meet together at Waterloo station, under the giant clock, and head to the theme park as a big group from there. We'll be organised in terms of meeting points across the park on the day with details to follow!
