Street photography: what, why and how

Details
What is it? What is the subject? Why do you shoot it? How do you do it?
Everybody is a street photographer nowadays. You just grab a camera or your phone, snap a few pictures while walking along the pavement and there you go! Street photography is so simple!
Or is it?
In reality a good street photograph is really hard to get, and very few are seen on the social medias.
Join me for a workshop to understand what a street photograph is, what subject you should be looking for and how to do it!
This is a workshop for beginner and intermediate photographers or anybody that is new to the genre.
We will start with an introduction on street photography and will talk about the what, why and how with examples and a good Q&A to clarify any doubt. I will be available throughout the workshop for questions and clarifications.
We will then hit the streets and start experimenting with what we have talked about in the introduction. There will be a route but we can change and adapt along the way according to our needs.
On the street I will show and explain what I am seeing, why I would shoot it, how I would shoot it, why it works (or most likely it doesn’t!) and how to open your eyes to the possibilities in front of you.
All you need is a camera, a lens and a spare battery. Or just shoot with your phone and show us that cameras are so yesterday!
At the end of the workshop we can sit down and discuss the experience (maybe with a pint in hand), revising a few of the shots and understanding what works, what doesn’t, how you could have improved the shot. Mind you, banter might be unavoidable!
After the workshop it would be great to share two or three shots from the day on the Facebook group Shoot The Street:

The community is already formed by passionate Street Photographers and will welcome you and your images, and we will be looking forward to seeing the results of your efforts.
Key to the whole Meetup is fun and learning!
If you read this far quit wasting time and book your place already! It will be great!
