Do you dream off beaten track, secluded beach, sun, wind, surf or SUP experience? With daily yoga, bonfire on the beach and rock climbing?
Dream no longer! You are invited for a dream summer break; beach, learn to surf, master that headstand, enjoy Cider tasting, some wholesome local delicious food and authentic culture; 5 days and 4 nights in the secret spot of underestimated part of Spain: magical Asturias and Cantabria.

The natural paradise of Spain, Asturias is a region in the north of the country that is steeped in history and tradition. Here you will find dramatic landscapes, fantastic wildlife, world-known Picos de Europa and the route of the Camino. You will encounter gorgeous virgin beaches and sample the region’s delicious cuisine. There is no such place as Asturias! We are inviting you to the coast to summit nature, surfing, yoga, cuisine, and hiking adventure!

Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival and transfer to our secluded lodge. Setting in, lunch perhaps enjoying a stroll to the beach, or watching majestic sunset from the neighbouring golf course or the hammock recharge before the following days of sun, beach, surf, yoga, hiking and culinary adventure

Day 2:
Morning yoga, breakfast and off to the beach for the surfing lessons and the playing in the waves.

Picnic lunch on the beach or at the local beach cafe and the afternoon treat is a visit to the local sidreria.

** Cider or ‘Sidra’ is the local drink in Asturias. Quite different to British cider, sidra is a very natural drink (we will visit Sidra Crespo, where they make Sidra from their own organic apples) and drunk in a particular way by the locals – poured from a great height and drunk in shots!

Tonight we will dine in a local village place, authentic Asturian cuisine.

Day 3:
Morning yoga, breakfast and off to the beach for the surfing lessons and playing in the waves.

Picnic lunch or at the local beach cafe. Time on the beach to tan, rest, surf more, ponder on the beauty of life and the mountains hike with the sunset BBQ

Approx an hour and a half walk takes us up through the eucalyptus forest and over heathland to the viewpoint of the stunning Picos de Europa mountains and the coastline.

Day 4: Picos de Europa

Morning yoga, breakfast and off to the beach for the surfing lessons and playing in the waves.

Lunch will be an authentic Asturian feast aka menu del dia at Casa Pancho. Afternoon at leisure on the beach, walk siesta in the hammock and anything else. Tonight we will be treated to a homemade dinner.

Day 5:

Morning yoga, breakfast and off to the beach for the surfing lessons and playing in the waves.

Picnic lunch or at the local beach cafe. Time on the beach to tan, rest, surf more, ponder on the beauty of life and have dinner locally in Ribadesella. The local area is so unspoiled and the cuisine is mouthwatering.

Day 6

Breakfast, packing and we’ll head off early to beat the crowds and head up into the Picos de Europa national park (a UNESCO world heritage site). The drive up will take us through the area of cabrales, famous for its blue cheese and then into the beginning of the Cares Gorge, where stunning limestone cliffs rise sharply on either side.
Heading up further we’ll pass through the mountain village of Sotres and begin our hike at 1200 metres. The first stage of the hike is about an hour and a climb of about 500 metres to the Refugio Andara. From here we’ll head further up to the peak of Mancondiu at 2002 metres and take in the views of the mountains and our to the Asturian and Cantabrian coastlines.
Lunch and visit to the charming Santillana del Mar and an evening flight back

The recommended flight to/ from the UK is:

30th Aug Ryan Air Santander – London Stansted 22:15
If you are not travelling from London there are many flights to Santander and some to Asturias airport. There are also flights to Bilbao where you can find ​buses to Ribadesella where we can pick you up.
