Our 6th meetup, and what a meetup it is!

We're currently in the process of finalising some details, but we're happy to announce that we can confirm a great talk from Mike Bithell. We are also going to be welcoming Unity students from Denmark. Previous students at the university created 'Branch', which was one of the finalists in the student category of the Unity Awards 2011.

You may notice that we are hosting the event on a Friday this month. This is due to other commitments for the rest of the month. We are aware that it's a Friday, and people like to drink on a Friday, so we are aiming to be finished as quickly as possible! We will only feature one talk, but Mike is well suited to deliver a talk to both newcomers and pros, because he's basically both!

Mike Bithell.

Mike is a member of the '30 under 30' list, lead designer at bossa studios, and around a year ago came into the limelight with his, literally overnight, success with 'Thomas Was Alone', a game that he created in 24 hours.

'Thomas Was Alone' gained widespread coverage across the gaming press, and when Mike decided to complete the project, he made the big decision to switch from Flash to Unity. With the help of the London Unity Usergroup, of course.

Mike will also be talking at this months Game City event in Nottingham.

Please remember to confirm your attendance, as this stops us panicking that no one is going to turn up.

We're really looking forward to seeing you all at the next event, and as ever, if you have a project you'd like to show, even for 5 minutes, get in touch. We don't bite, we just ask lots of questions.
